The Circulation Desk is a key public service point in the Biomedical Library. This service station is staffed all of the hours that the Biomedical Library is open.
Using online and manual circulation systems, Circulation Desk Staff are able to:
All full-time Access Delivery Services Division staff and many student assistants issue library cards to users. Records for cards issued at the Biomedical Library are located at the Circulation Desk. Users must present their library cards for each circulation transaction.
The lost and found section is located behind the Circulation Desk as a temporary depository for items turned in by library users or items which have been found by Circulation students when the library has been picked up throughout the day and at closing time. These items remain in the lost and found section for a few weeks; they are then sent to the lost and found section at the Information Desk in the lobby of the UCLA Medical Center.
The Access Delivery Services Division maintains all reserve files, including class reserves, all year reserve, and permanent reserve.
