• Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) - Searchable database of ATSDR documents and the internet HAZDAT database. Also includes state maps of hazardous sites, information on conferences, job apportuniteis, etc.

• Association of State and Territorial Health Officials - Lists state health agencies available on the Internet and provides seminars on various current health topics.
• Bureau of Labor Statistics - Provides regional information as well as national. Covers the latest news releases on unemployment, living conditions, wages, and employment projections.
• Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) - Bureau of Primary Health Care lists information on the Health Care for the Homeless Program, the Migrant Health Program, HIV early intervention services, and other specialized "safety net" grant programs.

• California Air Resources Board - Site lists information for all divisions of the ARB including the Comliance Division, Monitoring & Laboratory Division, Research Division, and Mobile Source Operations. Also provided is access to a directory of California local Air Pollution Control Districts, some of which are accessable via the web.
• California Department of Health Services - Background information on the California Department of Health Services and its agencies. The site also lists press releases, DHS Fact Sheets, and CDC Disease Fact Sheets.
• California Department of Industrial Relations - This site covers Occupational Health and Safety boards, commissions, publications, an ergonomics proposal, labor laws, statistics, research, etc.
• California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) - Cal/EPA's Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has primary responsibility for regulating all aspects of pesticide sales and use to protect public health and the environment. DPR evaluates and mitigates impacts of pesticide use, such as work-place hazards, pesticide-related illness, and environmental exposure. The site includes the department's state strategic plan, DPR publications, fact sheets, and regulatory notices. It also provides access to the DPR pesticide-related Oracle databases: Chemical Ingredients Database, Product/Label Database, DPR People Locator, and the USEPA Product Registration and Pesticide Chemcial databases.
• California Health Information for Policy Project -- CHIPP - This agency provides information on future health information systems in California and has produced the California Health Database Inventory, which contains descriptive information on over 125 databases currently maintained by 10 health and welfare agencies, programs, or departments.
• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Covers travelers health information, the latest disease outbreaks and vaccine recommendations; complete information about the CDC including funding, statistics, and publications.

• Community-Based Environmental Protection - A comprehensive network of community-based environmental protection activities within EPA and other related governmental and non-governmental organizations.
• Consortium for Clinical Information Systems (CCIS) - A consortium of the American Association of Dental Schools (AADS), CCIS is an organization dedicated to the advancement of information technology in dentistry.
• Demographic Research Unit - Provides demographic research and analysis, produces current population estimates, future projections of population and school enrollment, and disseminates census data. There is also a list of publishers available.
• Department of Energy's Technical Information Service - Lists publications by the DOE's Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) Technical Information Services, including regulatory codes and standards. Lists other Web sites, including the Fire Protection Program and ES&H databases available.
• Department of Health and Human Services - Provides information on the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), consumer information, descriptions of DHHS agencies and links to these agencies. The What's New section covers current news items and the site has searching capabilities.
• European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) - This site includes EMBL courses, conferences and workshops, and a link to EMBO (The European Molecular Biology Organisation) and to the European Bioinformatics Institute and to the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database.

• International Agency for Research on Cancer - IARC's mission is to coordinate and conduct research on the causes of human cancer, and to develop scientific strategies for cancer control. • NIOSH, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health - NIOSH is responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related illness and injuries. NIOSH identifies the causes of work-related diseases and injuries and effective ways to protect workers from chemicals, machinery, and hazardous working conditions. The site includes recent NIOSH Alerts, occupational safety and health profiles for the 50 states, and the Compendium of Occupational and Environmental Questionnaires.
