- Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) - Bureau of Primary Health Care lists information on the Health Care for the Homeless Program, the Migrant Health Program, HIV early intervention services, and other specialized "safety net" grant programs.
- Bureau of the Census
- Offers health statistics from several sources. Use the Subject A-Z menu to find health topics such as aging, fertility, health insurance, etc.
- California Department of Health Services - Background information on the California Department of Health Services and its agencies. The site also lists press releases, DHS Fact Sheets, and CDC Disease Fact Sheets.
- California Department of Industrial Relations - This site covers Occupational Health and Safety boards, commissions, publications, an ergonomics proposal, labor laws, statistics, research, etc.
- California Health Information for Policy Project -- CHIPP - This agency provides information on future health information systems in California and has produced the California Health Database Inventory, which contains descriptive information on over 125 databases currently maintained by 10 health and welfare agencies, programs, or departments.
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Covers travelers health information, the latest disease outbreaks and vaccine recommendations; complete information about the CDC including funding, statistics, and publications.
- Department of Health and Human Services
- Provides information on the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), consumer information, descriptions of DHHS agencies and links to these agencies. The What's New section covers current news items and the site has searching capabilities.
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA) - Has up to date drug information, food labeling laws and information on medical devices. This site also has access to the code of Federal Regulations which is searchable.
- Health Resources and Services Administration - Covers health manpower statistics, hospital facilities information, etc.

- Indian Health Service - An agency of Public Health Service.
- Internet FDA
- This government produced site covers foods, drugs, cosmetics, and
medical devices. Information is linked under such categories as
FDA News, Foods, Human Drugs, Biologics, Medical
Devices/Radiological Health, Animal Drugs, Cosmetics, Field
Operations/Imports, and Toxicology. The Center for Drug
Evaluation and Research (CDER) provides the FDA Drug Approvals
List and regulatory guidelines.

- Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development - One of the 12 departments fo the California Health and Welfare Agency. Provides contact and program information, including e-mail contacts. Also provides definitions of various state health occupations.
- Oregon Health Plan Policy and Research - Covers the Oregon Health Plan and priority list for healthcare services.
